Hey, hi, hello! Happy Monday!
So, here’s the deal: I want to write a blog post, but it’s been… well, quite a while, and I don’t really know where to start. So I’m just going to rip the band-aid off and begin typing, and we’ll see where we end up landing.

I’ve been wanting to start writing again for a few weeks now, but every time I sit down to begin, I get overwhelmed almost immediately by how much time has passed since my last post. I also get overwhelmed by the completely made-up requirement to fill in the gaps and cover everything that’s happened since then.
Ultimately, I kept talking myself out of all of it. I kept letting myself get distracted, walking away from it, and then inevitably beating myself up a little bit for it because deep down I knew I still wanted to be writing again.
The more I put it off, the harder it got to start.
But today I remembered this space was created specifically for showing up messy and without needing to be performative. I started this whole journey with the intention to share my experiences, show up unapologetically as myself, and write whenever I want, about whatever I want.
So today I am starting out small and slow. Today I am just showing up to show up. I am dipping my toe back into the blogosphere and beginning to come out of my writing slump.
At the end of the day, I write because it brings me joy. I write because I love the process. And I write because I have a voice and I want to use it. I’ve spent most of my life living in fear of taking up space, of being seen. And that is something I am actively working on healing these days.
So here I am, taking up space and letting myself be seen. One small step at a time.
Thank you for your patience and thank you for being here!
Love always, Bailz 💜
